Invitation to Attend
Welcome From The President, NSW Chapter, ANZELA
The Australia & New Zealand Education Law Association (ANZELA) was established in 1991 with the aim of bringing together academics, legal practitioners, educators and others who have an association with and/or interest in education law and the legal issues affecting education.
One of the primary goals of the organisation is to promote and encourage research, study, discussions, writing and/or dissemination of information about issues on laws relating to education, by organising and participating in conferences and meetings on the laws relating to education and their implementation.
The 26th Annual Conference, "Education for a Safe World", to be held in Sydney from 3 - 5 October 2017, aims to provide an opportunity to share the issues, struggles, successes and insights that striving for a safe educational world produces. It is an opportunity for practitioners and theorists to present their thoughts and experiences to the Conference attendees. As well as papers, panel sessions and scenarios will allow question and answer interactions.
Attendees include teachers, University academics, Lawyers in both private practice and the public sector, administrators, those involved in policy formation, union officers and representatives of employer bodies who all share a common interest in how the law impacts on the delivery of, and outcomes from, education.
This is a wonderful opportunity to be proactive and share your thought-provoking research, experience or challenges with an audience from all Australian states and territories, New Zealand and other international countries, all keen to engage and participate.
The Conference will include a series of inspirational keynote speakers, supported by excellent presentations from across Australia, New Zealand and other parts of the world.
We look forward to seeing you at the 2017 ANZELA Conference this October.
